Everyone loves flowers!

At Beacon Woods Farm, we offer weekly U pick flower events beginning in mid to late April (weather dependent of course!) and extending into the Fall when the first frost arrives. Our U-pick opportunities are always posted under “Events” so please check there prior to coming out – just to make sure it’s a picking day. We are typically open Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings during the growing season.

Special dates and times for groups are available. Just ask!

The U-pick flower farm opens with daffodils and tulips in all sorts of shapes, colors, and sizes. After that it’s snapdragon season followed by peonies! Then the summer flowers begin – sunflowers, zinnias, marigolds, lisianthus, cosmos, strawflowers, gladiolus, calla lilies, celosia, rudbeckia, tuberose, gomphrena and lots more – there are just too many flower varieties to name them all! As the temperatures start to cool off the dahlias and China asters start pumping out their gorgeous blooms and continue until first frost. It’s non-stop blooms!

Common Questions:

How does the U-Pick work?
Every guest who comes picks a bouquet. There are plenty of blooms!

How are prices determined?

Flowers are priced individually (by the stem) and prices vary by variety. All flower prices are posted along with picking instructions in the flower rows. Minimum purchase is $20. Cash preferred. There is a 3% processing fee for credit or debit cards.

Can pickers bring children?
Yes, well-behaved and supervised children are welcomed! All guests, including children, pick a bouquet. We offer smaller sized bouquets with a lower price point for our young friends (ages 12 and younger).

Can guests take photos?
Yes, we love photos!  All guests are welcomed to take photos with their phones. We encourage everyone to post their blooms to social media and while you’re at it, please tag and mentioned us! Thank you!

Many people like to use our flowers as backdrops to their special photos. Photographers (with cameras) are welcomed to come at our designated photography hours (typically in late afternoon when the lighting is perfect). There is a half hour or hourly fee for this and appointments are necessary. (Please contact Beacon Woods Farm for details).

Can the recipient bring pets or animals? Is there smoking, vaping, or alcohol drinking?
Nope.

Certified service animals are allowed. Please let us know how we may assist you.

What should I bring?
We encourage all flower pickers to wear “farm shoes” and bring their own scissors or snips, a clean bucket to take their flowers home, and perhaps some gloves. Flower water is provided.

Are there bugs?

Although we have few mosquitoes or other biting insects, sometimes you might see some praying mantis, ladybugs, butterflies, and hummingbirds (or other creatures!) We also have lots of bees frolicking about. They like flowers too! Consider bringing some insect repellent if desired.
